Party Colors
Generic party supplies have always been great to use when celebrating a birthday. They’re simple, yet festive. Especially, the ones that are decorated with balloons and confetti. These go-to supplies inspired me to create a theme called “Party Colors”; a party themed party. I wanted a theme that will be a birthday go-to. Simple, yet festive like the supplies.
Colors:
When it came to the colors, I wanted them to be both festive and fun. Not quite a rainbow, but still colorful. Festiveness is key! For the color palette I selected; yellow, blue, light blue, hot pink, orange, red, purple, lime green, and green.
I designed a colorful backdrop. To make it, you will need to create two streamer panels. Check DIY Zoom Streamer BD for instructions. Once the panels were completed. I stacked them vertically on top of one another.
GARLANDS:
To give the set-up a more party feel. I added four different colors of festive festooning. This decoration is like a piñata in garland form and its one of my favorites. For the colors I selected; yellow, cerise(pinkish), medium blue, and light blue. This made the back-drop pop and added some nice texture.
TABLE:
Decorating the table is one of my favorite parts of styling. When I choose decor they need to complement and contribute to the overall festiveness of the color palette. For plateware, I paired (small) sky blue and (large) grid plates from Oh Happy Day. The grid style plates add a nice color break, while still complementing the backdrop. The plates are my go-to when I want to add a modern touch. I picked rose colored dinner napkins, happy (yellow) paper cups, and plain birch utensils.
The table was decorated with a large yellow diamond honeycomb (perfect decor for filling up space) and confetti was sprinkled generously.
FINISHING TOUCHES:
I bought a colorful selection of party blowers from Target, added some fun party hats, and of course finished it off with balloons.
